From Gorillas to Granny’s pension: My meeting with a Crowdfund pioneer



Last week I traveled up to Glasgow and was able to meet one of the pioneers of crowdfunding in the UK. Michelle Rodger was one of the co-founders of the first crowdfunding platform in Scotland, and arguably the first platform in the UK, Bloom VC. Michelle now works with the Social Foundation and The Crowdfunding Centre where she is involved with the launch of Crowdfunding Day and a national Crowd Funding Conference called Deep Impact which takes place on November 1st.

Michelle was kind enough to meet me on a recent trip up to Scotland and gave me some interesting insights into the industry. I will cover this meeting in two blog posts.
